For those younger than most of us here, it is important to know that the current leader of Matooke republic/ Uganda, senile despot and bloody dictator Museveni’s origins are shrouded in mystery. 

Many versions of where he was born and his true nationality are claimed. Those who know him view the vagueness around his origins as deliberately created. He one time said that he was born in Mbarara Hospital even as he claimed he does not know his exact date of birth. That was in Mbarara in April 1992. But later he changed and said it was Ntungamo! 

This feigned ignorance of his exact birth date is atypical of a man who otherwise boasts of having an incredible memory and ability to recall events that many people have forgotten. The clearest signal of Museveni’s origin comes from the stigma that Rwandese and Ugandans of Rwandese origin have been subjected to.

This regional criminal Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, born Yoseli Tibuhaburwa Rutabasirwa, was born in Rwanda, despite his insistence that he was born in Uganda. The most informed sources who have known Museveni since his early childhood insist that he and his mother, the late Esiteri Kokundeka, came to Uganda from Butare, southern Rwanda, where he was born around April 1943. One of these sources, Gertrude Byanyima, the wife of the late Boniface Byanyima, the former national chairman of the Democratic Party, says Museveni came to Uganda as a child from Rwanda.

Those in the acquaintance of late Mzee Byanyima remember back in 1996 how Mrs Gertrude Byanyima stated that despot Museveni was raised in their home and that he was a not a good academic performer but a child full of insecurities mainly relating to his background. It was known that his mother had run mad and his real father (not Amos Kaguta) lived in Tanzania with another wife.
