No head of state in the region is doing more to sabotage regional trade than senile despot Museveni, who has become a real stumbling block! Take the maize and milk issues between Uganda and Kenya, or Uganda and Tanzania for instance. Unprovoked, Museveni is always starting trade wars. When Kenya blocked Ugandan maize, Kenya explained that it was because the maize was very substandard. Kenya showed that through laboratory tests of the Ugandan maize.

But instead of ensuring quality control and standards, senile Museveni’s military retaliated by confiscating Kenyan fish destined for DRC. That’s the behavior of senile Museveni and his thugs – they imagine they can always use strong-arm tactics against everyone. The arm-rotting dictator in the past has behaved in similar thuggish manner when he instructed Ugandan customs officials to illegally impound a truck full of minerals from Rwanda that was transporting them to the Mombasa port. There was absolutely no reason for Ugandan officials to impound the truck (in 2018), since all the paperwork was in order. 

They would release the minerals after several months, but showed no reason why they impounded the truck in the first place, meaning there was no reason. The senile thug was only doing it to sabotage Rwandan business. He did the same with a shipment of Rwandan milk headed to Nairobi, and the milk went bad. 

Of course there are many other cases, such as the Standard Gauge Railway and other regional infrastructural initiatives which Uganda’s senile dictator is always sabotaging, throwing a spanner in the works for everyone. 

But Uganda grew wise to him long ago, and has bypassed him very well establishing alternative trade routes, establishing new links with Rwandair as a strategic asset, and more. Since the standoff, Rwanda has opened direct routes for its traders other to China, Dubai, and several African countries. 

A word of advice to Kenya and DRC where the president of the Matooke Republic has been trying to impose strong arm tactics: senile Museveni has never been a good neighbor, and never will be. Never trust him to do the right thing even one second, and always beware, he will sabotage anything in his delusions of regional dominance!
