When Museveni deployed in DRC to hunt down the ADF, he was given a specific territory to not exceed in his pursuit, also he was given a timeframe of how long he should not exceed his stay on the DRC territory.

After covering the given territory, Museveni needed to stay in the DRC and move toward the mineral rich areas.

He, however, couldn’t achieve that when the Kinshasa establishment was watching him and that’s how he resorted to dismantling Kinshasa through a coup.

With a coup in Kinshasa, Museveni’s army would move directly to the mineral rich areas but all this botched.

The DRC President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo found out about Museveni’s ugly plan and his next move was to kick out Museveni’s army.

Museveni hurriedly called President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé Eyadéma of Togo, Dennis Sassou Nguesso of Congo Brazzaville and asked them to mediate between him and Tshisekedi to save his face from embarrassment.

The alleged mini-summit on peace was in fact Museveni kneeling down asking for forgiveness.
