Few weeks ago, Uganda started to charge passengers using Entebbe airport, what they called a departure tax of $10. This fee they say is meant to overhaul the limping tourism industry hit seriously by Covid.

In the poverty stricken Uganda, inept despot Museveni who has the liberty of instructing the governor of a national Bank to print extra-currency for himself, can easily order his bunch of ‘mpigs’ to adopt a bill instituting every passenger going through Entebbe to foot a levy of $10. And that is what exactly happened.

This broad day robbery can only take place in a lawless state like Matooke Republic where good governance, accountability and credible leadership is a myth. Trust inept despot Museveni to milk Ugandans to the bone marrow as he pleases. He is soon going to charge people for oxygen.

It is because of inept despot Museveni’s greed and rampant corruption that Matooke Republic’s only recognized airport (Entebbe) got mortgaged as a foreign asset of the Chinese government because the thieves at state house failed to reimburse a loan they were given for rehabilitation.

As long as inept despot Museveni remains at the helm of power, hapless Ugandans will suffer the wrath of his gluttony and will continue to enrich him by hook or crook.
