After arresting and torturing Kakwenza, dictator Museveni thought he had scared authors that write about his evils in the Matooke Republic. Little did the tyrant know that torturing Kakwenza would only encourage Ugandans to write more and publish even more exposes of Kagutema’s bloodthirsty regime.

By arresting and torturing Norman Tumuhimbise however, Museveni has only foolishly shot himself in the foot. The case will cause more demand for the international community to sanction the sadistic despot, and it will drive huge demand for Tumuhimbise’s book.

Although Museveni has made writing a book in Uganda a crime, Tumuhimbise, Kakwenza, Stella Nyanzi and other writers prove that the days of the tyrant’s regime are numbered. It is crumbling.
