Gavana, a commander of the “Rassemblement pour l’Unité et Démocratie” (RUD-Urunana), an anti-Rwanda terrorist group responsible for the October 2019 terror attacks that claimed the lives of 14 innocent civilians in Kinigi, Musanze District is still under Museveni’s protection. That is despite all the efforts to mend the Rwanda-Uganda relations.

Gavana, together with his two escorts, fled to Uganda after Rwanda’s security forces foiled the attack. However, to everyone’s surprise, criminal Museveni’s security forces accorded the trio with a heroic reception. In the same manner, he has received, facilitated, and sheltered the RNC terrorist group for years. It was later on ascertained that the RUD-Urunana attack had been coordinated under Museveni’s watch.

Evidence collected on the scene, including phone handsets, revealed a Ugandan number had been in touch with terrorist Gavana before and during the attack. A simple call to the number disclosed it belonged to Philemon Mateke, the then regional cooperation minister and Museveni’s henchman.

Four months after the attack, despot Museveni in his usual tactics meant to divert that attention away, unceremoniously dumped Gavana’s escorts; Seleman Kabayija and Fidel Nzabonimpa amongst a group of innocent Rwandans under the cover of night, leaving behind their boss whom he rather facilitated to cross back to DRC in an attempt to keep wrecking insecurity on Rwanda.

Moreover, Gavana and his family have found a haven in Kisoro District, while the former conduct business and roams scot-free in Uganda under tight security by CMI. Warmonger Museveni has to change the status quo and hand over Gavana and several other RNC hostile persons he is still shielding while plotting to destabilize Rwanda and the region at large.
