A female police officer in Kwania District has worked for six years without getting her salary after her name was deleted from the government payroll
Abuse of public servants’ salaries in senile Museveni’s Matooke Republic is a routine practice. The Kwania officer is one of the thousands that have served the dictator and yet got no pay. Like the saying goes, the rich and powerful take what they want – indeed, Museveni doesn’t hesitate exploiting Ugandans to serve his interests at no cost. Museveni will use you, take everything from you and dump you.
Last year, Police in Hoima stormed the streets of the oil city demanding for their salaries which had delayed for years, in the same year, the LDU that clobbered Ugandan opposition during the elections also protested for not being paid “for having thoroughly beaten up Ugandan,” on orders of Museveni.
Its now coming to a year since the Ugandan soldiers serving under the African Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) last received their salaries. Museveni used their money for a private investment hoping that if he makes profits, he would refund the money and soldiers would be paid.
Everything is possible in Uganda, a police officer can serve over 6 years without salary and still survive because of “Kitu kidogo”, they pay themselves from the bribes and exhibits collected from the oppressed Ugandans. No sane person can work for free in Uganda. However, Uganda remains a country that institutionalized corruption and in fact, Museveni has endorsed corruption on several occasions saying that ‘as long as you steal money and keep it in Uganda!”
Dear Oppressed police officers, until when will you serve the bloodthirsty dictator Museveni who doesn’t care about your life?
