Tyrant Museveni systematically, psychologically and economically destroyed the people of Luweero triangle during his rebellion after forcibly recruiting them into his five-year long armed rebellion between 1981 and 1986. Today they still regret having fought for a selfish conman.  

Despite their sacrifices to have the power-hungry tyrant Museveni installed, the Luweero people still suffer the effects of the bush war after Museveni ditched and deprived them of all fundamental rights. There was no single development model or project carried out in Luweero, the besieged people live in squalor, poverty and starvation. Senile Museveni never wanted them get back on their feet as part of his use and dump strategy.  

The major reason to abandon the people of Luweero is premised on the senile dictator’s paranoia that they would support the ongoing efforts to dethrone him.   

Nothing can be done to amend the Dictator Museveni’s relationship with the people of Luweero, neither will empty apologetic statements fix Museveni’s betrayals against the people who accommodated, fed and support him when he had nobody else to turn to.  

The ageing geezer has built a legacy of betrayal, apart from the Luweero people; the northerners suffered the same fate. Museveni rewarded them with death for playing a central role in fighting his most dangerous enemy, the commander of the Lord’s Resistance Army-LRA Joseph Kony. Recently mass graves were discovered in Gulu and Lira containing thousands of remains of northerners killed by Museveni after his claimed victory over LRA rebels. This is dictator Museveni’s four-decade long legacy. 

The apology is just another mockery to the enraged, poverty-stricken people; criminal Museveni’s resignation is the best apology Luweero people would ever wish to hear.
