Notice to gullible, myopic, hopeless, and eternally persecuted citizens of the Matooke Republic: do not be fooled by the glitz and glam owed to the athletic wins and victories of Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo. Ugandans, as your arm-rotting tyrant gloats about gold medal, thousands of your compatriots in Karamoja are starving to death.

Since yesterday, social media was ablaze with congratulatory messages to the two “long distance” runners, and crooks at Nakasero State House, and treacherous, corrupt despot Museveni was gleeful, because it overshadows the dirt-worrying reality back home.

Food insecurity and lack of basic sanitation needs have been wreaking northern Uganda, specifically in Napak, Morooto, and Kaabong in Karamoja, where so far, more than 400 Ugandans have dropped dead. While this is happening, criminal tyrant Museveni is in his usual illusions and deliberate treachery that Uganda is doing good. No, it is not!

Famine is the latest tragedy that could come from Uganda today because people are used to abductions, incarcerations, illegal detention, torture, and sometimes elimination of innocent Ugandans by the cold-blooded murderers of the regime.

Ugandans need to focus on their real issues, not the face-value, short-lived celebrations of athletics. How far will inept despot and criminal Museveni mess Uganda while people standing waiting for their turn to die? How long will Uganda continue to suffer at the expense of a senile, octogenarian, arm-rotting dictator Museveni?
