On Thursday, a parliamentary committee in charge of public accounts on commissions, statutory authorities and state enterprises (COSASE) probed and grilled the unfit, incompetent Uganda Airlines CEO, Jennifer Bamuturaki Musiime. What they found is nothing but repugnant rampant corruption schemes deep rooted in criminal despot Museveni misrule of Uganda.

Not only is Bamuturaki strikingly incompetent to run an airline, she is arrogant and corrupt to the tooth. COSASE found out that she hired an advertising firm “Abbavater Group Limited,” to do branding and marketing of the loss making airline at the full cost of $540,000 (about Ugx 2.067 billion) without opening the process to a competitive bidding process, thus flouting procurement procedures.

It should be noted that Abbavater has close links to family members of criminal despot Museveni and all tenders were awarded to the company on strict instructions of the despot. That is how corruption is crowned in the Matooke Republic.

It is laughable that a country can seek to revive a lossless-making line when its leaders are the ones responsible for its use. For the past three years, not only the airline had been hit by scandals after scandals, records indicate that it lost Ugx500 billion.

Again, in a good functioning state free of corruption and tyranny, Jennifer Bamuturaki and her cronies, would be sentenced to jail. However, because it is in a failed state, she will reign like a queen at the expense of oppressed hunger-stricken Ugandans.

Every rotten system attracts its sites and charlatans who add no value whatsoever, but merely feed off the system until the system atrophies and dies then the parasites move on to the next host.
