Despot Museveni’s police have bought the Israel’s spyware (UFED) to hack the devices of human rights activists, journalists, diplomats, and opposition politicians. The security agencies’ unlawful surveillance of Matooke Republic’s people is merely targeting kleptocrat Museveni’s dissidents to secretly control their private conversations, track their locations and watch their day-to-day lives as he oppresses them.
Uganda’s security operatives serve solely as enablers of dictator Museveni; they operate under his direct orders to hound his political opponents, whether it involves killing, or committing any other sort of atrocity. The hacking technology is not new in Uganda, the regime has been tapping mobile handsets and computers of targeted individuals. According to victims, the spyware apps have been in use 2017 despite regime denying the allegations.
Also, in December 2021, Museveni’s regime attempted to hack into 11 United States diplomats’ phones and fortunately failed to have access to them, which itself raised the international community’s concerns over the senile dictator Museveni’s continued gross violations of human rights.
While Uganda’s economy is almost collapsing, corrupted Museveni is diverting taxpayers’ money to invade people’s privacy with intent to strengthen his grip on power in lieu of deploying the resources to address pressing issues including hunger in the country.
For Dictator Museveni, using oppression, and power abuse are the only strategies he applies to rule Ugandans hence committing crimes with impunity, which in return persistently unmasks his illegitimacy. This is how he soothes his insecurities.
