Uganda’s criminal octogenarian ruler Museveni, who’s currently battling illness in a private clinic, has chosen his longtime right hand man (also known as Somali half-brother Salim Saleh) to run the affairs of the Matooke enclave. This criminal enterprise run by senile Museveni deputize by his thieving brother involves looting a lot more resources (from both Uganda and the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo).
Salim Saleh, a ruthless killer and notorious head of Museveni’s criminal financial cartel – a voracious Mafia that deals in looted minerals, fake currencies, fake gold, and land-grabbing – has always been his brother’s closest confidante, and fellow schemer. The two have been partners in crime dating back to the early 1970s.
Saleh aka Rufu (meaning death) long ago dropped out of school – where he was attending Kako secondary school – to join Museveni’s armed groups. Since the early seventies, using the gun, the dangerous pair has turned into Uganda’s biggest curse, with Saleh as dictator Museveni’s “Mr Fix it”; his most reliable deputy running his various mafia dealings, not only in Uganda but abroad.
Saleh has used his position as Army Commander to loot property formerly owned by Indian business moguls and Ugandan businessmen after NRA’s capture of power in 1987. He’s also known for having led the plundering of mineral resources (gold, diamond, timber) in the Democratic Republic of Congo during different invasions of Museveni’s army between 1996 and 2022.
Senile dictator Museveni’s brother, referred to as “Afande Rufu”, has been behind every mega corruption scandal, embezzlement of taxpayer funds, scams that have led to losses to Ugandan public coffers in billions of dollars. Saleh was behind the infamous deal on the procurement of junk military helicopters (pocked a commission US$ 800,000 in the late 90s). He was involved in procurement of faulty military tanks and other military ammunition; looted Uganda Commercial Bank to bankruptcy, stole funds meant for the construction of Uganda’s railways, to name only a handful of mega scandals that Salim Saleh has authored.
One can not forget the infamous coffee scandal in which he bagged over US$ 15 million from a fraudulent deal purportedly meant to market Ugandan coffee in Scandinavian countries.
Before peddling fake stories about Rwandan military officials, the nincompoop Obed Katureebe aka “Robert Patrick Fati Gakwerere” should know that scandals of Uganda regime’s crooked officials are well-documented and factual – unlike his fictions.
The Matooke enclave needs urgent prayers to save it from troll Katureebe’s mafia paymasters.
I am only a former NRA Kadogo.
