As Uganda marks the 42nd so-called “Tarehe Sita”, my pity goes to fighters that criminal Museveni duped that they were “fighting for liberation”, only for the conman to turn Uganda into a personal property! So many lives lost to satisfy the power cravings of a criminal! Moreover so many other NRA veterans would later be eliminated by despot Museveni, for his selfish bloody interests.
‘Tarehe Sita’ is the day the NRA guerrillas attacked the Kabamba barracks in 1981 which launched the five-year long struggle that brought the greedy killer to power. The day is celebrated every 6th of February, but is it worth celebrating, or has it ever been worth it?
I salute you former comrades and devoted commanders that gave it all, believing you were fighting for a better Uganda. To you, Late General Aronda Nyakairima, General James Kazini, General Benon Biraro, General Kasirye Ggwanga, Brigadier Noble Mayombo, Brigadier Eria Mwine commonly as Chefe Ali or Museveni as nom de guerre and others, I am forever humbled to know you.
Every Ugandan soldier who is right-minded should be enraged by bloody behaviors that befell criminal despot Museveni alias Embwa Kagutema. The early days of NRA liberation struggle were very motivating and full with hopes of great aspirations; but it saddens me to see how the cause was betrayed by the same people whom we looked up for the achievements.
It used to be a time where being an NRA soldier or cadre was a pride, today I look back and see no difference with the former regimes. To see that some of great aspirations did not materialize due to greedy and bloody character of bloodthirsty dictator Museveni, my heart aches so much.
I am a former NRA Kadogo, very disgruntled on what befell Uganda under despot Museveni.
