Yesterday, dictator Museveni ordered his house boy judges to release Mohammed Ssegirinya (MP for Kawempe North) and Allan Ssewanyana (MP for Makindye West Division) on a bail of Ugx20 million. The two opposition politicians have been languishing in jail for over one and half years.

At the beginning, both Ssewanyana and Ssegirinya were arrested on trumped up charges that they were behind the wave of machetes wielding mob (Bijaambiya) who killed 26 people in the greater Masaka and Wakiso.

Truth on ground however showed the two MPs were actually in a campaign of giving support to families that were affected by violence and chaos in the aftermath of 2021 presidential elections. The same elections that despot Museveni openly rigged and sworn himself in as president.

The time the two legislators were produced before courts, prosecutors failed to provide incriminating evidences and shockingly judges denied them bail. They were later remanded to Luzira prison and were subjected to inhumane torture.

In tyrant Museveni’s Kangaroo courts, he is the prosecutor, the judge and the jury. The despot wanted the two MPs who are members of the opposition to know that he is the king of Uganda and he is above the law.

The criminality, cruelty and contempt of dictator Museveni towards his citizens is unparalleled. Even in the time of Idi Amin and Milton Obote, Ugandans have never been subjected to violence, nepotism and authoritarianism like today. History will always remember Museveni as the worst ruthless bloodthirsty dictator.
