Few weeks ago when the bloody ruler of Uganda despot Museveni took almost his entire cabinet to Belgrade/Serbia in what his cronies dubbed “boosting bilateral cooperation” gullible and oppressed Ugandans didn’t know the geezer not only had gone to beg, he also gave empty promises.

Forget “Arms Trade Fair” which all his entourage attended and took selfies with sophisticated guns like villagers in the city. The chief beggar Museveni is now struggling to live up to his promises as the tons of coffee he promised to sell to Serbians are nowhere to be seen.

Just yesterday, Ugandans got to learn that the much publicized Coffee Investment Consortium Initiative which was set up to pump more money into the economy from coffee export (the same that was supposed to supply the Serbian market) was dysfunctional and faces liquidation.

Apparently a certain Nelson Tugume who was assigned to collect the coffee from farmers has went AWOL despite having pocketed millions of dollars received from the National Coffee Fund. In his usual lies, deceitful Museveni gave empty promises about coffee they did not have. Save for his repetitive noise about value addition, Serbians waited and did not even get the raw unroasted beans.

A reminder that the consortium, which came into being in 2021 with a set up fund of more than Ugx50 billion, directly runs from office of despot Museveni with the support of the dictator’s son in-law Odrek Rwabwogo. The coffee returns are channeled to offshore accounts belonging to the First Family.

Criminal despot Museveni and his closest cronies have stolen everything that Uganda owns, the insatiable bloody egomaniacs even strayed to neighboring countries like DRC with the use of force to plunder its national resources but their bellies get bigger and the hunger for more increases.

From the look of things, the pangs of the shattered economy are likely to get worse. In the end it is the oppressed Ugandans that suffer.
