Closure of North Korean Embassy in Uganda, a result of despot Museveni continuous diplomatic failure

Last week, in a note verbale written to criminal despot Museveni’s government, North Korea announced it’s intent to shut down offices in Kampala.

The government of Kim Jong Un Informed despot Museveni that it was closing its offices to reduce costly and redundant diplomatic missions and wanted to concentrate on more meaningful cooperations.

Definitely, for those in the know of diplomacy, an embassy can only close when diplomatic cooperations have ruptured, and this was the case in criminal despot Museveni’s Uganda.

A reminder that Uganda as one of few African countries that had direct cooperation with North Korea, from which it earned a nick name of ‘North Korea of Africa’ in reference to dictatorship, failed to honor some of its pledges leading to a frosty relationship.

Of promises Uganda had given to North Korea included the set up of military plants and bases, a decision despot Museveni feared to enforce due to pressure and backlash from Europe and the US.

Tyrant Museveni who wanted to keep aid from both North Korea and the West eventually lost it all. Just this morning, the US government announced its decision to restrict Uganda from AGOA market citing grave violations of human rights (A story for another day).

Now criminal despot Museveni is in a fix and he has no remedy whatsoever, forget his useless stories of “Value addition” to Ugandan products. Where is he going to sell them?

A reminder that countries like Germany, Sweden, UK and Netherlands previously stated that they are less interested in cooperating with Uganda for a number of reasons, some of them relating to endemic corruption and abuse of basic human rights.

Despot Museveni has not only lost credibility in the far east and west, he is in the same posture in the region due to his economic sabotages. The back and fourth Maize and Milk trade disputes with Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda have not helped him gain confidence diplomatically either.

While diplomacy was the last standing chance for criminal despot Museveni to score cards, the entire world is coming to reality that cooperation with his government is as good as his failed leadership.
