Uganda braces up for a coming year full of terror and fear

Having gone through a tragic Christmas which claimed lives of hundreds innocent Ugandans a week later and courteous of criminal despot Museveni, Uganda started a new year in a reign of terror and fear.

The assassination attempt of Pastor Aloysius Bugingo bears marks of a state sanctioned killing with an aim to instill fear among nationals. Unfortunately, his driver Richard Muhumuza, a highly trained SFC did not make it when assailants ridded his vehicle with bullets on the night of the day after new year.

There have been all sorts of theories to give a glimpse of the motive behind the attempted murder of the Bugingo who hitherto has been megamouth of criminal despot Museveni, but everyone who knows how things work in Uganda will understand that it is the modus operandi of a bloody regime.

Criminal despot Museveni’s psyche of instilling reign of terror is as complicated as deciding to eliminate his closest cronies to justify his acts of repression. We have seen it with the cold-blood murder of Isma alias Jaja Icuri, the assassination of Colonel Ibrahim Abiriga and others who were his staunch supporters but ended up six feet’s under.

The horrible stabbing of Steven Kabuye, an LGBTQ activist is an early warning signal this year of how Museveni is ready to eliminate any Ugandan exercising their freedom. From the look of things criminal despot Museveni has activated his old-bloody killing methods in retaliation against isolation.

For the past few months, the despot ruler of Uganda has been squeezed and isolated mostly because he clanged onto repression methods against the will of Ugandans and amidst serious criticism from western countries. When the bloody tyrant is isolated, he becomes more violent and turns satanic. Unfortunately, members of the LGBTQ community are likely to pay the bloody price this year unlike before.

The Kamwengye second attack by ADF is a continuous indicator that Museveni will not relent to use the rebel group as a pretext to justify his terror campaigns. DRC and members of the opposition in Uganda will definitely have a tough year as the despot will continue to justify his cruelty against them using the rebel group as a excuse.

It is sad when one starts a year without hope for a life but it is worse when one feels vulnerable enough not to make the changes, they want towards a country they love. The more the criminal ruler of Uganda ages, the paranoid and violent he becomes at the expense of dear lives of innocent Ugandans.
